1. Introduction

EggWise ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the EggWise mobile application and related services ("Service").

By using EggWise, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, date of birth, and biological sex.

Health & Fertility Data: We collect information you voluntarily provide, including menstrual cycle data, symptoms, medications, semen analysis results, lab results, and other health information you log in the app.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about how you interact with our Service, including pages viewed, features used, and time spent.

Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and push notification tokens.

Communications: If you contact us or use in-app messaging with healthcare providers, we store those communications.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, personalize, and improve our Service
• Calculate your wellness score and fertility insights
• Send medication reminders and appointment notifications
• Connect you with healthcare providers you choose to contact
• Analyze trends to improve our AI-powered recommendations
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal health information to third parties for advertising purposes.

3a. AI Training & Model Improvement (Opt-In Only)

EggWise uses AI to power features like cycle predictions, lab interpretation, Ask EggWise, and personalized insights. To improve these features over time, we may use a de-identified, bucketed subset of user data to train and refine our models, but only if you explicitly opt in.

What "de-identified" means here:

• Demographics are bucketed (e.g. "age 30 to 34," not your exact DOB)
• Cycle lengths and dates are converted to ranges or weeks-from-baseline, never calendar dates
• Medications are mapped to drug classes (e.g. "gonadotropin"), not brand names
• Symptom and outcome tags are aggregated, never paired with your identity
• 👍/👎 feedback you give on AI responses helps us tune model quality

What is never used for training: your name, email, phone, address, exact dates, free-text notes, journal entries, clinic or doctor names, or any identifier traceable back to you.

How to opt in or out: When you first reach the dashboard after sign-up, we ask you directly with a one-time prompt. The default is your choice, there is no implicit opt-in. You can change your decision at any time under Profile → Settings → Help Improve EggWise AI. If you opt out after previously opting in, we mark your past contributions for deletion from our research warehouse within 30 days.

Where this data goes: de-identified contributions are stored in a separate research warehouse, not joined with your operational profile. We do not sell this data. Aggregated, model-grade outputs may inform future EggWise features and clinical research partnerships.

If you do not opt in, none of your data is used for AI model training. Your operational use of EggWise (predictions, insights, notifications) is unaffected.

4. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

Healthcare Providers: If you schedule an appointment or message a doctor through EggWise, your relevant health information is shared with that provider to facilitate care.

Service Providers: We work with trusted third parties (including Google Firebase for database hosting, Stripe for payment processing, and Google for AI features) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

4A. Google Calendar and Google User Data

If you choose to connect Google Calendar, EggWise asks Google for permission to add and manage events on your calendar (the calendar.events scope). Connecting is optional and you can disconnect at any time.

What we do with it: EggWise adds your EggWise appointments, cycle dates you choose to sync, and medication reminders to your primary Google Calendar, and updates or removes those same events when they change in EggWise. We only create, change and delete events that EggWise itself created.

What we do not do: EggWise does not read, copy, or store your other calendar events. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, share it with third parties, or use it to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

What we store: the access and refresh tokens Google issues for your connection, your sync preferences, and the identifiers of the events EggWise created (so we can update them and never duplicate them). These are stored securely with your account and are encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your control: in EggWise you can remove the events EggWise created and disconnect Google Calendar, which deletes the stored tokens. You can also revoke access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

EggWise's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Please notify us immediately at support@myeggwise.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from your Profile settings. Some data may be retained for legal compliance purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Portability: Request a portable copy of your data
• Opt-Out: Opt out of certain data processing activities

8. Children's Privacy

EggWise is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

9. Push Notifications

We send push notifications for medication reminders, appointment alerts, and wellness updates. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the EggWise app at any time.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
